Every year in mid-September it’s “O’ zapft is” – time for the tapping of the first barrel of the Oktoberfest beer and the Oktoberfest kicks off at the Theresienweise in Munich. The event breaks several well-known records. In the more than 98,000 seats, spread over 14 halls, guests sit relaxed, drink the specially brewed Oktoberfest beer and sway to brass band music. In addition to the tents, there are beer gardens and hundreds of food stands. If that’s still not enough fun, countless carny booths and rides lure you in. From historic classics to high-tech rides, there’s something for everyone here.
